SVG Import scaling issue with Adobe Illustrator

Whenever I import an SVG that was exported from Illustrator the paths are scaled down 0.75 and I have to scale them up 1.333. It doesn’t happen if I import from DXF although that has another issue with converting the curves to straight line segments.

Thanks

I’ve had simular experience. Sometimes after saving my svg that I see in inkscape is not what appears in wam. Somtimes Dxf straighten out curved lines and sometimes it doesn’t. Keeps me up at night

I had the same problem in the past. I think the solution is you have use the: Save As .SVG option and not the: Export to .SVG option

I had this problem sending SVG files to my laser cutter. Set up a blank worksheet in Adobe Illustrator using inches for the measurements. Paste your artwork into it. Export as SVG. It should cut at the correct size. (Changing the measurements in your original art file doesn’t work. It has to be an original inches workspace.) Don’t know why this works, but it’s an easy fix and keeps your original art file intact.
