Feature Request: Work origin options

One of the major hurdles with the cutting job workflow is setting the origin. I could not find how to check where the current origin is, hence I always needed to adjust the origing before every cut, which was made very difficult due to clumsy jogging (no way to pres and hold to move, jog step limited to 10mm). Could you implement options to Display and GoTo current work origin, and also make jogging easier (faster jog and also finer resolution). Thank you!

Hi pucejkri,

After loading a cut file the gantry will home to the top left corner to find (0,0) then move to the origin that was set for this file in WAM. You can then use the Dry Run or Check Cut Extents features to ensure that the cut will take place on your material.

Does that help? Perhaps I don’t fully understand the issue, would you mind writing to us at support@wazer.com so we can discuss this further? There may be a better workflow we can share with you!

Thank you,

-Greg

Hello Greg, thanks for a fast response. So just to clarify, after homing, the machine moves to the file origin, correct? That is helpful to know.

Still, the options I am talking about would make the workflow more convenient. By displaying or moving to origin, I meant an option to command machine to go to the set origin, for example after some manual jogging that is performed to set nozzle height.

The second note concerns the manual jogging itself - I could not find how to move the machine in small increments so it is difficult to adjust the work origin precisely. Also, when needed to jog far, it is very impractical to click the arrow many times. Pres and hold option for continuous jog would be so much better.
