I’m confident it will cut. But the amount of cleaning you would need to do if the machine had ever used abrasive before would be a lot. Nothing is clean about these systems. If you are planning on buying a brand new one to only use for food…maybe. But you would want to clean it out daily to prevent bacterial growth. The plastic bed will grow mold/bacteria. None of the parts are food grade.

I can’t guarantee it, 1/2” is fairly thick. I would definitely look at a waterjet made specifically for food, Wazer definitely doesn’t want you using their equpment for this purpose, and I don’t want you doing it either. There are tons of things that could go wrong, leech into the water, contaminate the food.

There’s nothing about this machine that is food grade. Machine oils on parts, grease, the bacteria that will sit and form in the various hoses because they won’t be completely dry after you use them. Pretty sure you’d Have chocolate bits spewing everywhere. You probably could cut it, but you couldn’t pay me to eat it
the water chews up the cutting bed so you’ll have bits of that plastic in there….
