Losing Pieces down the sides

When I’m cutting glass sometimes it shoots aross the deck and down into the abyss. I cut this vynal poster sheet at 1” just through the top and it bends but not break all the way through, then turn it over and cut it at 2” same way and bend it. (it kind of snaps) then at 3” cut it through and the length I used is 14”. I havent lost any more pieces. Seems like no matter how big tab it still with push the glass piece off occasionally and seems to make it to the side and down. If you need to get the the leveling screws you can bend the vynil up and get to them.
