Hi WAZER Pro users,

I’d like to hear from others cutting 3 mm glass with the WAZER Pro.

We are experiencing **2–10% chipping/blowout during piercing** , compared with around **0.1% on our WAZER Desktop**.

We have tested different glasses, abrasive flow rates, lead-ins, tabs, the jewel orifice and even the complete cutting head, following WAZER Support’s troubleshooting recommendations.

Despite this, the issue remains.

What concerns us most is that **WAZER Support considers a 2–10% chipping rate to be within the expected range for the Pro**.

For those of you cutting 3 mm glass: **what chipping rate are you actually getting?**

Any feedback or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Rémi

I do get this sort of chip also, It’s occasional, and usuall when the cut is near the outer side of glass, I can actually hear it when it happens. It’s not often though.

have you had the same issue with other colors? I know from my wifes hand work and now using the wazer that really opaque bright colors, specifically yellows and whites, have a really high crack and chip rate.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve tried other glass suppliers, with more or less similar results. I mainly work with clear and opaque glass. The results with mirrors weren’t great either. Since then, Wazer has given me a good technique to avoid drilling holes, and I’m much more satisfied with the results.
