I am considering the Desktop unit to cut gasket material (Durlon HT1000), which is basically phlogopite mica paper and some binder.

I know the specs call for a 1.1mm kerf.

Is there a way (even with some modification) to get to a lower value?

The material I am trying to cut is only 1/64 in thick.

I am trying to cut very small holes (0.5 mm nominal) in the gaskets.

Thanks

Not likely. The kerf is basically the width of the waterjet stream, can’t get any smaller than that.
